Yes, ladies and gentlemen - the pressure is on.

IPTV World Forum will open on March 12th in London, and we are most certainly exhibiting. There is a lot we need to cover this year because not only do we have a fantastic new release of Zignal, version 2.0, but also we are promoting a new offering called Zignal Cloud.

We’ve been working on all the promotional material and it looks great!

The Industria team is tuned into success and I hope I’ll be seeing you all at IPTV March 12-14, stand 170.

Ok talking about a sneak peek. This is gonna be mind-blowing, guys! We are talking about a UI that is so fast, so sleek, so user-friendly that both itunes-Teens and country-grandma are going to be fighting TV control.

Daddi and Stefan have been working on this development for quite some time now and those two geniuses…well do I need say more?

Zignal Core Team has been working on this for quite some time and the Zignal 2.0 release is planned for 1Q08, but more on this later ;)

Guess you’ve got to start planning early for everything, especially when it comes to these exhibitions. The planning can be really crazy! Starting to plan next years participation when this years event hasn’t even started hehe, yebb it’s crazy.

So the next big thing for us is IPTV World Forum 2008 in London. We took on the silversponsorship and landed a great stand! It’s a free-standing stand number 170, where we are surrounded with some of our partners and good friends. Planning on all fronts is going on full force, because we are planning to….well let’s just say that people are going to want to visit our stand. We are going to be demoing a great new release of Zignal (tell you more about that later on) as well as having a fantastic stand and of course we will be participating in panel discussions with our CEO in the front line.

I can say that we are all looking forward to March 12-14 2008.

Inuk launched its Freewire TV service within the UK early September. This services is to provide TV and other Internet services to students on their PCs, Macs and laptops. The launch of the service is going well.

The students seem to like the service but it is already the biggest pure IPTV deployment in the UK and it has just started!

Zignal is proving itself to be a flexible, robust and scalable!

Howdy all,

Things are cooling down a bit after a few crazy weeks. We were exhibiting at IBC in Amsterdam, and learned a good lesson regarding the stand - BOOK EARLY. But the show went really well, we generated good leads and met with many of our good friends in the industry.

Just when we came back from IBC we jumped back on the plane to attend the  Global Telecoms Business awards. We are proud to have won this but we can say with full confidence that this is only the beginning!

We’ve been working on launching the brilliant Pimp My UI  product which is something that is desperately missing in the current product offering in the industry, also we will be launching new material on the Zignal section on the Industria website and you will be able to read all about Pimp My UI when we’ve launched the new website.

Well that’s it for now.

With a thorough roadmap and a jam-packet feature list we are now looking at the next release of Zignal which is set for fourth quarter of 2007. Zignal 1.4 not only has great new features but also improvements on previous ones to make it more fast and more smooth than ever before.

While development continues strongly in our labs, foreseeing two releases of Zignal each year, we are always looking for new ideas and solutions to improve Zignal and continue the work on creating the best middleware solution available on the market.

Industria has taken out a booth at the IBC show http://www.ibc.org. Total attendance is estimated around 45.000. This is a huge show where the broadcast industry which we now relate to gets together to see all the latest and the greatest in the world of broadcasting. Everything related to the workflow of content creation and distribution in radio and TV is on display.

Our goal is to fortify our relationship with partners and key players in the world of IPTV and impress potential resellers of Zignal. Hopefully the odd operator or two will stick in their heads and get Zignalized.

Currently Logi and Fernando are busy as hell on site with INUK doing all they can to get Zignal to the state required by INUK. This has been some journey but the team has done a great job implementing new functionality and supporting INUK in their effort to set up Zignal and integrating with several other OSS/BSS systems.

We wish the team the best of luck and send some positive vibes their way

As per request via PS from Magnet we are now increasing the priority for PvR functionality in the Zignal product. This mostly includes some serious client work as we now need to add a way for a user to mark TV shows for recording and build an easy to navigate vault/directory where the user can later retrieve and administer the content.

The set top box we will be optimizing this functionality for is a Telsey product. We hope to get this under way soon. You can always check out the Zignal backlog where we keep track of requirements in the form user stories and the priorities.
